Thompson Speedtouch Configuration
 

Speedtouch Configuration

Please Note: These are the connection settings for UK Broadband accounts only

1.	Open Internet Explorer (or whatever you use for your web browser).
2.	Delete the existing web address in the Web Address Bar.
3.	Then enter: 192.168.1.254
4.	Press Enter/Return/Go.
5.	A Speedtouch screen appears.
6.	On the Menu List on the left hand side, click on Speedtouch.
7.	Over on the main screen, click on Setup which is located under Pick a Task.
8.	A Welcome Screen should appear.
9.	Click on the Next button.
10.	On the Service Selection screen, ensure the Data (Default) is highlighted.
11.	Click on the Next button.
12.	On the Routed Internet Connection, ensure the following details are in place:
13.	VPI: 0 VCI: 38
14.	Connection Type: PPPoA (PPP over ATM) (UK Default)
15.	Enter your Broadband Username.
16.	Enter your Broadband Password.
17.	Click on the Next button.
18.	On the Start Configuration screen, click on the Start button.
19.	After a period of time, a screen should appear with the option to click on Finish.
20.	Click on this.
21.	Check to see if the DSL light is on solid on the Speedtouch router.
22.	The Internet light should be coming on shortly after.
23.	If both lights are on, this indicates that your router is connected to the Internet.
